1. Who we are
Moodie Smoothies ("we", "us", "our") is a wellness app created by Hannah to help you nourish your body through each phase of your menstrual cycle with tailored smoothie recipes.
2. What data we collect
Data stored on your device only
The following data is stored locally on your iPhone and is never sent to our servers:
- Cycle tracking data: your period start date and cycle length, used to determine your current cycle phase and recommend relevant smoothies.
- Preferences: measurement units, dietary preferences, and app settings.
- Symptom selections: which symptoms you tap on (e.g. bloated, low energy) to get smoothie recommendations.
- Favourites and ratings: smoothie recipes you have saved or rated.
- Shopping lists: ingredient lists you generate from recipes.
- Smoothie log: your streak and smoothie history.
Apple HealthKit
If you grant permission, Moodie Smoothies can read menstrual cycle data from Apple HealthKit to automatically determine your cycle phase. This data is:
- Read directly from HealthKit on your device.
- Never uploaded to any server.
- Never shared with third parties.
- Used solely to personalise your smoothie recommendations.
You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in your iPhone Settings under Privacy and Security, then Health.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Moodie Smoothies offers optional premium subscriptions (monthly at £2.99 or annually at £19.99). All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status.
RevenueCat receives:
- An anonymous app user ID (not linked to your name or email).
- Your subscription status (active, expired, trial).
RevenueCat does not receive any health data, cycle data, or personal information. You can read RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
4. Analytics and tracking
Moodie Smoothies does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools. We do not track your behaviour, build advertising profiles, or share data with advertisers.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone. Your data stays on your device.
6. Data retention
All app data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is removed. Subscription status may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat as part of their standard processes.
7. Children's privacy
Moodie Smoothies is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Your rights
Since we do not collect or store your data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to delete, export, or modify. All your data is under your control on your device.
If you are in the UK or EU, you have rights under GDPR/UK GDPR. As we do not process personal data on our servers, these rights are inherently fulfilled.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
